Basic Knitted Square

Blankets for people in need are often knitted in squares so that many knitters are able to contribute. If everyone uses the same pattern, squares often end up different sizes because of tension differences.
With this pattern all the squares will be the same size. it doesn’t matter if each person has a different number of stitches in the middle of the square. As long as the edge of the square is the same size all the squares will fit together.
