Blue Waxbill

These Waxbills are found in the north eastern areas of South Africa and north to Angola and Tanzania. They prefer open thornveld with grass and bush. Blue Waxbills are often found in pairs and small groups, frequently in the company of other seedeaters. They forage on the ground for small seeds, shoots and insects and fly into bushes when disturbed.
